Tangy Turnips
Add some zip to this hearty fall vegetable, making a plain, traditional dish into a fresh and fancy favourite.

white turnip

sea salt

TRUE orange crystals
or Walden Farms Marmalade

Ideal Protein Maple Syrup

ginger
grated

Instructions
Remove turnip greens and set aside.
Remove the crown of the turnip with a sharp knife, peeling turnips and cutting into 1-inch (2.5-cm) cubes
Cook turnips in a steamer with an inch of water in the pot until tender (approximately 40 minutes).
Drain turnips and mash with a potato masher or use an immersion blender.
Add in remaining ingredients and mix well.
Put turnip mixture into a glass baking dish and bake at 350 F for 6 to 8 minutes.
